Haloumi and Avocado with Martinnaise
I am always looking for simple, nutritious Keto / Banting meals that will keep me satisfied and energised for hours!
What you will need:
Haloumi Cheese cut into fingers
1 slice of Banting Bread (I use SA Low Carb Supplier's bread)
1 medium Avocado
Martinnaise Savoury Banting Mayonnaise
Let's put it together:
Cut the Avocado and remove it from the peel. Mince it with a fork and season it with salt and pepper to taste.
Next cut the haloumi cheese into fingers and fry until lightly golden in coconut oil.
The toast is a little extra special. I melt some butter in the frying pan and add three to five drops of Martinnaise Liquid Hickory Smoke and mix it through. Place the bread in the pan and turn to coat both sides. Cook until a light golden brown on both sides.
Put the minced avocado on the toast and stack the fried haloumi on the side and drizzle some of the Savoury Banting Mayonnaise over the haloumi cheese (as much as you like!)
